Why Practice Yoga?

Yoga will help to improve your flexibilty, stamina and strength. It doesn’t take long before you feel your body getting healthier, stronger and more energised..

You will learn relaxation and breathing techniques that will help to reduce stress levels, but overall, practising yoga will simply make you feel better in both body and mind..

Yoga will also help to improve your performance, endurance and technical ability in many sports such as cycling, tennis, running and  football.  The breathing techniques strengthen your lungs and increase lung capacity and the twists, bends and stretches keep the muscles strong but flexible reducing the risk of injury.

Regular practise of yoga will also help with……

  • Digestion
  • Weight Loss
  • Muscle Tone
  • Improved Circulation
  • Stronger immune system

Yoga can also help improve your strength of mind and overall sense of well-being. It can help with:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Self Esteem
  • Improved Concentration
  • Improved memory
  • Creativity
  • Positive mental attitude

In Appreciation of my Yoga Teacher Deborah Curran

”  Having attended various different types and standards of yoga classes over the years I attended one of Deborah Curran’s classes. Two and a half years later I can’t wait for the next class and now attend twice a week. Deborah’s lessons are so skilfully constructed that her students are continually challenged, praised and differentiated.  From the most experienced to the ‘newbees’ we never feel left out. The classes are fun and serious hard work at the same time; they are very varied with termly themes and weekly emphasis. We are never bored with repetition although obviously many poses form part of the weekly routine. We particularly appreciate the preparatory steps Debbie leads us through so that when we get to the finished pose we can all achieve a much improved result. Debbie is expert at remembering her individual students health issues and often gives individual attention to help us while never neglecting the rest of the class. Thank you Debbie.  ”
